This past week, my best friend asked me if I wanted to get last minute tickets to the Blue Jay game against the Cleveland Indians. It was Game 3 of the ALCS so I was definitely up for it. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I was so busy enjoying myself that I only snapped a few photos. As a result, I decided to create just a quick one page spread.
On the top of this spread, I created a card from Becky Higgins' Forever Young 6 x 6 paper pad. I wanted to add my ticket somewhere, but in the midst of all the excitement my paper ticket ended up crumpled up in my jacket pocket. I wasn't going to give up though. I ironed it out with my hands, photocopied it onto vellum and voilà! I actually love how it came out! I topped that off with a tag from one of Kelly Purkey's old kits and a stamp of the Canadian flag.
In the middle of the spread I simply added a photo of us as well as a photo of the Josh Donaldson t-shirt that I bought at the game. I used Kelly Purkey's alpha stickers to spell out BOR which stands for "bringer of rain."
On the bottom portion, I have a photo of the field that I took during the national anthem. I ripped off the tag from the shirt I bought and tiny attached it to the top of the photo. Don't worry, I made sure that the Blue Jays logo was still there. I also stamped a baseball onto vellum and tiny attached that just underneath the tag. The baseball stamp was from a sports set that I purchased from Michael's.
And there you have it, a quick one page spread to document the fun night I had! I'm sad that our Blue Jays won't be moving onto the World Series but I couldn't be more proud of the team. It was an amazing year and I can't wait for next season! GO BLUE JAYS!
